David is the owner and Chairman of Chase Plastics Limited, a leading manufacturer of high-performance recycled plastic resins and compounds. He is also the CEO of Circularity Scotland, the company formed to operate Scotland’s forthcoming Deposit Return Scheme for drinks containers. During a 20-year career with British Polythene Industries PLC, a large international manufacturing group which was sold to RPC Group PLC in 2016, David held a number of senior management positions in the group including Group Chief Financial Officer and Divisional Chief Executive of large multi-site international businesses. He has considerable experience of business turnaround and restructuring, and international M&A. David is a past Chairman of both the Scottish Finance Director’s Group and ACCA Scotland, he was also a member of the policy steering group of the Major Energy Users Council.
